Previews & Correct Score Predictions:
Chelsea v Liverpool
Prediction: 0-0
Chelsea confirmed the league title last weekend and they could switch off for their remaining matches, despite it’s difficult to imagine that happening with Jose Mourinho’s players. However, the Blues were given 4 days off to celebrate. In the same time, Liverpool’s hopes of finishing in the top 4 are still alive. Chelsea have been excellent at Stamford Bridge all season, where they are undefeated (14-3-0). But the Reds have lost just one of their last 4 league visits to the Bridge and they have kept 7 clean sheets in their last 9 Premier League matches on the road.
Lazio v Inter
Prediction: 1-1
After 8 wins in a row, Lazio have won only once in their last 4 games in Serie A (D2 L1). However, they have picked up 16 points over their last 6 home matches (W5 D1). Although Inter might still be disappointed by last week’s home draw against Chievo, they are on a good run having picked up 3 wins in the last 5 games and no losses in the last 6. The Milan club have also won 4 of their last 6 league matches on the road, losing just one of these. Both teams still have plenty to play for and we can expect a tightly contested affair.
Marseille v Monaco
Prediction: 0-0
Third place and Champions League qualification is in the balance when OM host AS on Sunday. Marseille were autumn champions but they have now picked up just 2 points from their last 5 league matches at home. Monaco are unbeaten in their last 11 Ligue 1 matches and have lost just once in 20. “The most important thing is to not lose in Marseille. That’s our objective for the end of the season: to finish in the top three”, said Monaco’s striker Anthony Martial.
Cologne v Schalke 04
Prediction: 1-1
Cologne have drawn their last 3 matches in the Bundesliga, while Schalke have failed to win their last 7 on the road.
