Napoli v Lazio Preview
Napoli find themselves only 3 points behind Lazio, who sit in the final Champions League qualifying berth. So the Partenopei are one home win away from snatching 3rd place from their opponents, while the Aquile only need a point. A formidable home record during the 2nd half of Napoli’s campaign means they have picked up 23 points from 9 games at San Paolo, putting them 2nd only to Juventus in that regard. Lazio’s defeat in the Rome derby leaves them with no choice but to secure a ‘result against Napoli at all costs’, in the words of captain Stefano Mauri. The points advantage currently lies decisively with them, and avoiding a defeat now certainly remains within the capabilities of a Lazio that have picked up 16 points on the road – a Serie A high – in the latter stages of the campaign.

Roma v Palermo Preview
Both sides have nothing to play for, so expect Roma to feature a weaker squad and give the youngsters a run out and boost their Serie A experience. As this is probably the last game this Palermo squad will have together – with the likes of Paulo Dybala, Franco Vazquez and Fabio Daprela all leaving – they will be hungrier for the victory than the hosts, but after a man of the match performance against Lazio, Juan Manuel Iturbe will also be looking to end the season on a high for Roma. Palermo are not to be underestimated, as they beat the Wolves 2-0 in Sicily in March 2013 and held them to a 1-1 draw back in January.

Cagliari v Udinese Preview
After beating also-relegated Cesena last week, Cagliari seem to be hitting form too late and with unfortunately nothing to play for. A win here would see them leave Serie A after recording an impressive 4 wins and a draw in their final 7 matches. Udinese would just be grateful the season is over, as they have suffered an astonishing run of poor results, with only 6 wins in their last 32 league games.
