Privacy Policy & Cookies

We take your privacy very seriously. This Privacy Policy describes the use of cookies and how we collect, use, store, process, and share your information in relation to this website. Children (under 18s) are not eligible to use our site and should not submit any information to us.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. This makes your name, website address and comment (but not your email address) viewable by the general public on the website.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

The website does use some cookies (small text files that are stored on a computer for record-keeping purposes) when you browse it. These are used to ensure the proper running of this website, and also to help us improve your experience when browsing. Some cookies remain on your computer until you delete them. Others expire when you close your browser. You may set your browser setting to attempt to reject cookies (see below).

Cookies do not contain any information that personally identifies you, but personal information that we store about you may be linked by us, to the information stored in and obtained from cookies.

For example, if you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to save your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

When you use the Site, you may also be sent cookies by selected third parties who may use the information they obtain from your use of their cookies: to track your browser across multiple websites, to build a profile of your web surfing, to target advertisements which may be of particular interest to you.

See below how you can control the use of cookies.
